Latest Update

Last month, Humanity Foundation supported 27 poor patients in Nala Sopara with free and subsidized medical treatment. From providing insulin for diabetic patients to arranging emergency medicines for accident victims, your contributions directly brought relief to families who had nowhere else to turn.

One of the patients, a 62-year-old widow suffering from severe asthma, received regular check-ups and inhalers funded through donor support. Her daughter shared with us that for the first time in years, her mother can sleep peacefully at night without struggling to breathe.

These are the lives your generosity touches every day. With your continued support, we aim to help 50 more patients by the end of this year, ensuring that healthcare reaches those who need it the most.

Story

Falling sick is difficult for anyone, but for families living in slums and below-poverty-line households, it can become a matter of life and death. Even a minor illness often goes untreated because medical help feels out of reach.

Hospitals are overcrowded, private clinics are too costly, and medicines are priced far beyond what daily wage earners can afford. For widows, children, and the elderly, this struggle is even harsher — they are left to suffer silently without proper care.

Humanity Foundation began its medical support initiative to change this reality. By providing free check-ups, medicines, and emergency treatment, we ensure that poor patients get the care they deserve without being crushed under financial burden.

Common Medical Conditions

[give_form id="11276"

In slum communities and low-income households, the most frequent health challenges include:

  • Chronic illnesses like diabetes, hypertension, and asthma

  • Tuberculosis and other respiratory infections due to poor living environments

  • Malnutrition-related weakness among children and elderly

  • Maternal and child health complications

  • Accidents and workplace injuries

  • Untreated eye, dental, and skin infections

Without early care, these conditions worsen and often turn fatal.

The Treatment They Deserve

Every patient has the right to:

  • Regular check-ups and diagnostic tests to detect issues early

  • Essential medicines for chronic and acute conditions

  • Hospital admissions and emergency care during accidents or sudden illnesses

  • Access to specialists and advanced treatments when required

  • Post-treatment follow-up and nutrition support for full recovery

Sadly, most of these treatments remain out of reach for poor families.

Financial Issues They Face

For a daily wage earner or a widow living in a slum, healthcare is unaffordable. Even ₹200 for a doctor’s consultation or ₹500 for medicines means choosing between treatment and food. In emergencies, families are pushed into debt or forced to abandon care. Many patients simply suffer without ever visiting a hospital.

How You Can Help

Your support can turn despair into relief:

  • ₹1,000 provides essential medicines for a patient for one month

  • ₹5,000 covers diagnostic tests for an entire family

  • ₹10,000 helps fund emergency hospital treatment

  • Any contribution ensures patients receive care without worrying about cost

When you donate, you are not just funding healthcare — you are giving someone the gift of life, dignity, and hope for tomorrow.
