Latest Update
In September 2025, Humanity Foundation successfully conducted a Clothes and Footwear Distribution Drive across three slum areas in Nala Sopara.
Over 350 individuals, including 120 children, received new clothes, slippers, and blankets.
One young boy, Aman (8 years), smiled as he tried on his first pair of shoes and said,
“Now I can run to school without hurting my feet.”
Moments like these remind us why we do what we do —
Because something as simple as a shirt or a slipper can restore dignity, protection, and happiness in lives that deserve so much more.
Our next goal: distribute 1,000+ pairs of footwear and clothes before the next winter season begins.
Story
In the narrow lanes of slums, survival takes priority over comfort. Families live in cramped spaces with leaking roofs, worn-out clothes, and bare feet walking through muddy roads.
For them, new clothes or slippers are a luxury they cannot afford — even during winters or monsoons.
Children attend school in torn uniforms, elders wrap old sarees for warmth, and many walk barefoot, risking infection and injury.
To bring back dignity and comfort, Humanity Foundation launched the Clothes and Footwear Distribution Drive — ensuring no one faces cold, rain, or shame because of poverty.
This initiative is more than charity — it’s about restoring self-respect, safety, and hope in every step.
Challenges Slum Families Face
People living in slum communities face multiple struggles every day:
Lack of proper clothing to protect against weather changes.
Children walking barefoot, leading to infections and injuries.
No access to warm clothes or blankets during winters.
The Support They Should Receive
Every individual deserves basic essentials for comfort and dignity.
Our foundation ensures:
Distribution of new and gently used clothes for men, women, and children.
Seasonal drives — warm sweaters, jackets, and blankets during winters.
Footwear donation camps providing slippers and shoes for safe walking.
Financial Struggles Families Have
For low-income families, buying new clothes or shoes is often impossible.
A mother may wear the same saree for years, and children outgrow uniforms faster than they can afford replacements.
Even ₹300 becomes a big decision — food or footwear?
During winters, many fall ill due to lack of warm clothing. Small infections turn into serious illnesses, worsening their financial situation.
How You Can Help
Your small act of kindness can make a lasting difference:
₹500 provides a complete set of clothes and slippers for one person.
₹1,000 supports a family of four with clothes and footwear.
₹5,000 helps organize a slum distribution drive covering 50+ beneficiaries.
When you donate clothes or funds, you gift dignity, warmth, and safety to those who’ve been forgotten in the crowd.
